The pleasure of eating is not one that I have always appreciated. But life and people change and not only did I discover the pleasures of the table, I found my calling as a chef. Now, as a mother, home cook, chef and enduring epicure, I favour simple meals that are as delicious as they are nourishing.

Simplicity in my kitchen means several things…

a love of one-pot wonders and throw-it-all-in-a-bowl creations.

a repertoire of dishes that can be prepared ahead of time.

flexible recipes that can be easily tailored to what I have in my pantry.

And if the leftovers taste even better the next day for lunch, even better!

My food philosophy embraces maximium nourishment from real food while avoiding unnecessary complication. I have no desire to eat anything less than delicious nor do I support deprivation or fanaticism. Because sometimes, chocolate cake is the only answer.
